Coard Allard’s Biography

Hi, I am Coard Allard and I am 16 years old. I live in St. Francois Xavier.  I am currently enrolled in Grade 10 at St. Paul’s Collegiate in Elie MB.

Outside of racing my other interests include riding my bike, hunting, fishing, mechanics and building things. I play in all after school sports like volleyball, basketball and badminton. I work at the Headingley Co-op as a gas jockey.

I began racing in 2002 on a KX 65. We have a track at our house and I try to practice anywhere from 2-3 times a week. This past year I raced on a KX 250F. In the spring series I raced in the 125 Junior classes along with the Gp Junior class. I ended up third place overall in both classes.

I also went to the Western Canadian Amateur National in Raymond AB and finished fourth place overall in the Junior class. For the fall series I moved up to the 125 Intermediate class along with the Youth A class. I finished fourth overall in the intermediate class along with a couple of top three finishes. In the youth a class I finished ninth place overall.

In 2008 I raced in the super mini class. I raced a 2006 CR 105 Big wheel. I raced a super mini bike to get used to riding a bigger bike before jumping up to the big bike for next year. In the spring series I finished second place overall and in the fall series I finished third place overall.

This summer has started off on the right foot. As we went in to Baldur MB for Round 1, it started to rain and snow. It turned out to be a mud race. I finished 5th overall in the Youth A class and 2nd overall in MX2 Intermediate. The following weekend the races were cancelled. The week after we were in Morden, MB. I also finished 10th in Youth A and 2nd again in MX2 Intermediate.

This summer I will be trying to qualify for the Canadian National in Morden, MB. I would like to try and score a couple points.

The summers after my goals are to turn pro and try to be a consistent top five guy. I would like to try and follow all the Canadian Nationals and race the MX2 class and try and get a national number.
